The Boll Weekend:
For the last five years the committee have organised a cultural weekend in conjunction with Mayo County Council and the Arts Council of Ireland. The weekend normally takes place over the May Bank holiday weekend. The itinerary consists of literary, artistic, musical and archaeological events which endeavour to celebrate the landscape of Achill and the ethos of Heinrich Böll.
